The Christchurch Irish Society are excited for the next Theo and G Barndance this Friday evening for their very popular Ceilidh's!

 

 Friday 28th February at 7pm

They have a great lineup of old and new dances. All taught. No experience needed. No partners needed.
 
Doors open 7pm. Dancing at 7:30pm.
Adults $10.
Children $5.
Families pay no more than $30

Úna Ní FhlannagáinÚna Ní Fhlannagáin

On Sunday 2nd March. Úna Ní Fhlannagáin, a harpist and singer from Galway, is heading our way and doing her first Aotearoa NZ gig for the Christchurch Folk Music Club. Úna will also be giving a workshop in traditional Irish singing at 2pm on the same day.

 

2 March 2025 | 2pm – 4pm

  • Members $20
  • Non Members $25
  • Students (with ID) $5

Úna has been teaching formally and informally since her teens, and achieved a first class honours postgraduate degree in music education in the University of Limerick. She subsequently undertook specialised training in America, Canada, and Italy. Passionate about music education, she strives to make every class both highly effective, and fun!

This special afternoon tea is for those who have generously volunteered their time with our events over the past few years, and anyone interested in learning more about how they can get involved and contribute to future events with the Christchurch Irish Society.

The Christchurch Irish Society are excited to welcome Theo & G, who have chosen our clubrooms as their venue for their very popular Ceilidh's!

 

Theo & G are set to raise the rafters with their first community barn dance/ Ceilidh for 2025.

 

When: Friday 31st January

Time: 7pm (dancing will start from 7.30pm - 9.30pm)

Where: 29 Domain Terrace, Spreydon 

Price: $10 Adult / $5 Child (families pay no more than $30).
 
Just a reminder to bring a water bottle. We will be dancing solidly with maybe a song here and there for a quick drink and toilet break.
